Arizona Optical Systems, LLC (AOS) is a leading manufacturer of precision optical systems for the aerospace and astronomical communities. Founded in 2009 and based in Tucson, Arizona, AOS maintains a team of 50+ engineers, technical specialists, and administration having core competencies in the development of custom optical systems.
AOS is proficient in optical design, opto-mechanical design, imaging sensing electro – optical design and analysis, adaptive optical systems and scanning or motion control systems. With a capable optical mechanical and optical fabrication team, complex high accuracy optical systems and components to 1.8m for a wide array of applications have been produced.
What We Do
Arizona Optical Systems offers complete design or shared effort expertise in producing component level and full turn-key solutions for large and small optical metrology instruments, telescopes and optics, production alignment systems, motion control systems for space and flight applications. In addition, complex optical ground-based simulation systems for space simulation test of dynamic pointing telescopes and beam directors are produced using custom wide-band sources, radiometers and articulated collimation optics and return flats. AOS produces nearly off the shelf products for high-spatial frequency characterization of polished optical surfaces and custom hexapods for fine multi-axis articulation of sensing or pointing hardware.
